The Secret to Higher Self Esteem and Self Confidence

The single biggest thing you can do to increase your self-esteem and self-confidence is to clarify your values and then live a life with integrity based on those values. Sometime this is referred to as having fidelity with your authentic self. In more common terms it is being true to yourself.

Sometimes this can be painful and cause discomfort because living your own life may go against what others want from you. However, I try to remember that my pain is about what truly matters to me. If it didn’t matter I would not care. Hence, look for the gold in your pain. It is what you treasure.

Hi Brenda!
What a thorough tool the Life Values Inventory is! I did the process and I’m happy to report that most of my values line up nicely with my work/relationship/leisure life!
I can see how completing this assessment could easily bring attention to changes a person might want to make if it shows they are not matched well with their values.

  Welcome back. It’s a pleasant compliment to hear you find the tools I point to are useful. The Life Values Inventory manual is very complete for professional use with both coaching people or therapy with people. It is also user friendly for the general public.
  The coaching group I facilitate is in the process of clarififying values so we can be ready to create a vision based on those values. What’s your life vision and does it fit with your career/business vision?
